<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capping device, along with a liquid ejecting apparatus, capable of easily removing a cap member. <P>SOLUTION: A cam roller 562 moves so as to describe a rotation trajectory in an upward direction approaching to the liquid ejecting apparatus around a shaft J7 while being engaged from below with a first engaged surface facing downward in a lifting direction in an abandoned cap 550, and moves so as to describe the rotation trajectory in a downward direction separating from the liquid ejecting head around the shaft J7 with respect to the abandoned cap accompanying the rotation in the other direction around the shaft J7, is engaged from above with a second engaged surface facing upward in a lower position than the first engaged surface in the lifting direction in the abandoned cap. The first engaged surface has a flat surface part 564a being a non-superposing area that is not superposed with the second engaged surface, each other, in a direction perpendicular both to the lifting direction and the shaft J7 direction within a region of the rotation trajectory described around the shaft J7 by the cam roller 562. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
