<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device of a mold for casting a cylinder head which achieves an increase in the degree of design versatility of the layout of a liquid coolant supply passage and a liquid coolant discharge passage, facilitates manufacturing of the mold, and maintains the strength of a lower mold, and to provide a method for controlling the cooling device. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling device of the mold for casting the cylinder head is provided in which: a liquid coolant passage is formed in a combustion chamber forming part; the liquid coolant supply passage and the liquid coolant discharge passage are respectively connected to an inlet 51 and an outlet 52 of a liquid coolant passage 53; the liquid coolant supply passage and the liquid coolant discharge passage are arranged while being divided into a lower mold part on one side and a lower mold part on the other side so that cooling water flows from one side to the other side with respect to the combustion chamber forming part; a cooling water supply pipe 61 and a cooling water discharge pipe 62 are arranged while being divided into the lower mold part on one side and the lower mold part on the other side so that cooling water flows from one side to the other side with respect to a combustion chamber insert 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
