<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for making wire rotate by a wire electric discharge machine, capable of rotating the wire on a setup scale smaller than a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: When a wire 30 is fed to machine a workpiece and pressed against an outer peripheral surface 26b of a wire rotating roller 26, the wire 30 is energized by the outer peripheral surface 26b in a direction orthogonal to a feeding direction of the wire 30 by the rotation of the wire rotating roller 26, thereby to make the wire 30 rotate around its feeding direction as an axis of rotation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
