PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent network turbulence generated by link disconnection transfer function.

SOLUTION: A communication interface device 10 comprises: a transmission and reception part 50 which transmits and receives a client signal with a client device 2; a detection part 51 which detects reception stop of the client signal; an instruction signal transmission part 61 which transmits an instruction signal to disconnect the connection for transmitting and receiving the client signal with a client device 2b to a transmission device 4b of the exit of the path for transmitting the client signal on a transmission network 3; and an instruction signal control part 71 which stops transmission of the instruction signal until reception stop of the client signal continues over a first standby time.
