A connector is provided with a housing, a power-supply contact attached to said housing, and a fixture that affixes said power-supply contact to the housing. The connector can mate with an opposing connector in a front-back direction, said opposing connector being located on a mating side. The housing has: a rear wall; a contact-holding hole that runs through said rear wall in the aforementioned front-back direction; and an abutted part located on the mating side of the contact-holding hole. The power-supply contact has: a held part that is inserted into the contact-holding hole from the mating side and held thereby; an affixed part that is formed on the side of the held part opposite the mating side in the front-back direction; and an abutting part that is formed on the mating side of the held part so as to abut against the abovementioned abutted part when the held part is inserted into the contact-holding hole. The abovementioned fixture is attached to the affixed part, thereby sandwiching part of the housing between the abutting part and the fixture in the front-back direction.
