The inner rearview mirror comprises an environment detecting sensor for detecting environment data by a portion of the rear or lateral environment of the vehicle, and a vision obstruction detector for detecting of a disability to view through the inner rearview mirror. The vision obstruction detector is integrated in the inner rearview mirror. An independent claim is also included for a driving assistance method for a vehicle.
