Provided is a viewer device comprising: an execution control unit (30) which distinguishes whether the full text of a translation text corresponding to a word balloon in an image which is displayed in a window of a display unit (24) will fit in the word balloon at a preset text character size; and a display control unit (25), which is a display control means (25) for replacing source text dialogue in the word balloon with the translation text, and displaying same, on the basis of acquired word balloon information and text information. When it is distinguished that the full text of the translation text will fit in the word balloon, the display control unit (25) displays the full text of the translation text in the word balloon. When it is distinguished that the full text of the translation text will not fit in the word balloon, the display control unit (25) scrolls the translation text in the word balloon.
