<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful information display terminal that has a large display but is light in weight and does not tire a user through long time use. <P>SOLUTION: An information display terminal 1 comprises a flexible display 2 and a housing 3. The housing 3 is disposed in a part of an outer edge of the display 2. The display 2 includes a first substrate 53, thin film circuits 80 using thin film transistors are formed on the first substrate 53, and the housing 3 is disposed so as not to overlap the thin film circuits 80. Therefore, the information display terminal 1 is improved in durability. Since the display 2 is lighter and more flexible than the housing 3, there is no need to use a reinforcing member for protecting the display from external impact, and hence, the information display terminal 1 may be thin and light as a whole. Furthermore, since the information display terminal 1 has a center of gravity in the vicinity of the housing 3, even when a user holds the information display terminal 1 with one hand, he/she may use it for a long period of time without being tired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
