<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy conserving step counting device, an electronic device, a pedometer, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: A pedometer 1 has a walking detection part 10 that outputs the walking signal that indicates a walking condition, and a calculation part that calculates the number of steps. While the pedometer is in operation, the walking detection part 10 operates for a first time and stops for a second time and repeats this operation cycle. When the walking detecting part 10 is stopped, a CPU 107 estimates the number of steps while the walking detecting element 10 is stopped based on the number of steps obtained while the walking detection part 10 is in operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
