<p>[Problem] To provide an electric compressor configured so that water can be reliably prevented from entering a terminal for supplying electricity to an electric element. [Solution] A terminal cover (70) for covering a terminal (20) is provided with: a terminal box (72) which has in the bottom surface thereof a through-hole (73) for allowing the terminal to pass therethrough, has in a side surface thereof a wiring lead-out section (74) for allowing wiring which is electrically connected to the terminal to be led thereout, and has a top surface open; a lid member (76) for openably closing the opening in the top surface; a gasket (80) for watertightly sealing between the opening edges of the lid member and the terminal box; bolts (98) for affixing the lid member to the terminal box with the gasket disposed therebetween; and a receiving plate (75) which is provided within the terminal box and with which the bolts having penetrated through the lid body are engaged through threads. The receiving plate protrudes from the opening edge of the terminal box by a predetermined length and makes contact with the lid member, and in this state, the gasket is in pressure contact with both the terminal box and the lid member.</p> |
