<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for target detection that detects a target, such as an individual fish, with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: An underwater detection apparatus 10 for detecting an individual fish comprises: a max-peak holding section 1611 that extracts, for received signals, a maximum value in each predetermined period; a mini-peak holding section 1612 that extracts, for the received signals, a minimum value in the each predetermined period; and an individual fish primary detection processing section 162 that determines a rising and a falling of a signal indicating the individual fish, by using a gradient between the minimum value and the maximum value extracted at mutually different peak holding positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
