<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal device that can effectively prevent a brake pedal from hurting a driver when a vehicle body and the brake pedal are pushed to the driver due to the occurrence of a collision accident, with the brake pedal supported to the vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: The brake pedal device includes a brake pedal pivotally supported to a vehicle body, and a pivot lever forcibly pivoting the brake pedal to the front of a vehicle, away from a driver, by forcibly pivoting by means of the vehicle body upon the occurrence of a collision accident. The brake pedal is detachably mounted on the vehicle body bracket by a brake pedal mounting bracket, and the pivot lever is pivotally mounted on the brake pedal mounting bracket to pivot by the vehicle body bracket upon the occurrence of the collision accident. An annular arm is integrally formed at the upper portion of the brake pedal so as to protrude therefrom, and the pivot lever has one end extending to the vehicle body bracket and the other end extending to be locked to the arm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
