<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated wire rod which can be identified by appearance at a low manufacturing cost in a resin coating apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A resin coating apparatus 1 is provided with; a coating means 4 which continuously coats the whole periphery of a traveling metal wire rod W with a first resin 3 along a longitudinal direction; and a projection forming means 7 which forms resin projections 6 by intermittently coating a part of the periphery of the resin-coated metal wire rod formed by the coating means 4 with a resin 5 along a longitudinal direction. The projection forming means 7 has; a recessed part 13 for forming a resin projection 6; a metal mold which can be repeatedly closed in a close sate that the whole periphery of the resin-coated wire rod is covered and opened in an open state that the rod is separated from the periphery surface; a metal mold moving part 29 which is brought into a synchronous state that the metal mold moves at the same speed as that of the metal wire rod W in the same direction; and a resin supply part 14 which supplies the second resin 5 in a molten state in the recessed part 13 facing the surface of the coating layer of the first resin 3 when the metal mold moving part 29 is in the synchronous state and the metal mold is in the closed state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
