<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a travel track and a travel track generation device capable of preventing a situation where a travel track cannot be obtained because a repeated calculation is held up halfway when obtaining the travel track of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A travel track generation section 12 preliminary stores traveling patterns which respectively correspond to a straight road and a curved road in a traveling pattern storage section 14. A straight road travel track generation section 15 generates a straight road travel track which is the travel track on the straight road based on a straight road traveling pattern as well as various signals sent from respective sensors 21 to 25.
