<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger and a water heater using the heat exchanger adapted to allow combustion gas to uniformly flow in a gas passage formed between adjacent heat exchange units in the heat exchanger with the heat exchange units stacked. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger is constituted by stacking the heat exchange units 64. A heated liquid passage 220 is formed in each heat exchange unit 64, and the heated liquid passages 220 in the adjacent heat exchange units 64 communicate with each other through communicating parts 68. In a gas passage 230 formed between the adjacent heat exchange units 64, a widened part 236 which is widened with the passage width of the gas passage 230 in a stacking direction is formed along a gas flow direction of combustion gas flowing from a gas inlet 232 toward a gas outlet 234. The lengths L2 of an inside end and an outside end of the gas passage 230 excluding the widened part 236 are equal respectively on both sides of the forming direction of the widened part 236 and on both sides of an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the forming direction of the widened part 236. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
