<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stored body from being damaged due to a leak of water in a drain pan to a storage chamber by suppressing the clogging of the drain pan with frost generated in a cooler. <P>SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes a tray 10 arranged below a second heat exchanger 6, defrosting piping 5 which is a part of refrigerant piping connecting bypass piping 8 and the second heat exchanger 6 to each other, and arranged at the tray 10 so that a high-temperature refrigerant discharged from a compressor 1 in defrosting operation heats the tray 10, and a drain pan 11 arranged below the tray 10.
