<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method which is also applicable to a suspension polymerization process and by which polymerization proceeds in a living manner to control a molecular weight and a vinyl chloride polymer having a narrow molecular weight distribution and a definite terminal structure can be produced. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a vinyl chloride polymer comprises polymerizing a vinyl chloride monomer by a polymerization initiator system comprising a transition-metal carbonyl complex (A) having elements of Groups 8-10 of the Periodic Table as central metals and having a hydrocarbon ligand and an iodine compound (B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
