The invention relates to a ramming tool consisting of a ramming head and a shaft that is inserted into said ramming head. Such ramming tools are preferably used for compacting bulk materials, such as ballast, waste, or paper and packaging materials. A main area of use of such ramming tools is the production of foundation pillars, made of ballast for example, for improving the load-bearing capacity of soft soils during the installation of foundations, in the production of floor panels, supporting walls, dams, and traffic surfaces. The shaft often breaks in the region of the ramming head during the ramming process. The shaft can be reused multiple times by reproducing a conical end. However, a reuse of the ramming head is not possible because the broken-off end of the shaft has been welded to the ramming head in an irremovable manner. According to the invention, a protective bushing that reduces the surface pressure is inserted in the ramming head in order to obviate a welding of the two parts. |
