<p>An exercise device includes a contact target held in an at-rest position relative to a base by means of a resilient support. The resilient support is configured to removably couple with the base, and the contact target in turn is configured to removably couple with the resilient support, by means of a mounting bracket affixed to an interior surface of the contact target and a mating member disposed at the distal end of the resilient support. The mounting bracket has a recess formed therein that communicates with an opening in the exterior surface of the contact target, which thereby receives the mating member. The resilient support allows the contact target to be displaced from, and subsequently returns the contact target to, the at-rest position, when a force is delivered to the contact target, while the base resists movement relative to the ground.</p> |
