PURPOSE: A positive electrode active material, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium battery adopting the method are provided to protect high-capacity of parent material of anodic active material and improving thermal stability and capacity deterioration. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode active material comprises a core which includes lithium nickel-based composite oxide and a composite coating layer which is formed on surface of the core and includes TiO2 and LiTixOy(here, 1<=x<=2, 2.5<=y<=3). Content amount of lithium is higher on surface of the core than whole average composition of the core. A manufacturing method of anodic active material in which composite coating layer is formed comprises the following steps: a step of mixing TiO2-contaiingn solution with lithium nickel-based composite oxide; and a step performing thermal process at 300-800 deg. Celsius after drying the mixture. |
