PURPOSE: A method and a device for providing a 3D image are provided to improve the brightness of left- and right-eye images by inserting overlap images between the left- and right-eye images. CONSTITUTION: A left-eye image(410), an overlap image(420), a right-eye image(430), and an overlap image(440) are outputted from an image output unit successively according to time(450). A 3D image formed by glasses is provided through successive, repetitive output of the images. The overlap images are created by presuming overlap regions between the left- and right-eye images.
