PURPOSE: A method for measuring abrasion of metal is provided to improve the reliability and speed of abrasion measurement by preparing environments similar to the natural state. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring abrasion of metal comprises the steps of: preparing metal powder, dipping the metal powder in etchant, measuring size changes of the metal powder using a light scattering device, and calculating the abrasion rate of the metal powder from the size changes according to time. The metal powder is iron or iron alloy powder, and the etchant is acid or basic solution.
