<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to make a user to recognize non-attachment of a dust collection filter without turning on an electric power supply of an image projection device. <P>SOLUTION: An image projection device includes: a light source 1; casings 62, 63, 64 for housing a light modulation element and a projection optical system 3; a cover 61 capable of opening and closing relative to the casings 62, 63, 64, and in an open state, removable from the casing of a dust collection filter 5 to cover a cooling air intake port 64a formed in the casing; and a closing limiting mechanism 7 for, irrespective of turning on/off of an electric power supply of the image projection device, preventing closing of the cover in a state in which the dust collection filter is removed from the casing, and releasing the prevention of the closing of the cover in response to attachment of the dust collection filter to the casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
