摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton-conductive polymer electrolyte membrane having excellent oxidation resistance and a method capable of producing the proton-conductive polymer electrolyte membrane on an industrial scale. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing a proton-conductive polymer electrolyte membrane includes the steps of: irradiating resin microparticles with a radioactive ray; producing a microparticulate graft polymer by graft-polymerizing a vinyl monomer having a sulfonic acid group precursor and a vinyl monomer having a carbonyl group equivalent onto the resin microparticles in a solid-liquid dual phase system; preparing a cast solution comprising a polymer having a phosphoric acid group or a phosphonic acid group and the graft polymer and forming a cast film from the solution; drying the cast film to produce a film; converting the sulfonic acid group precursor into a sulfonic acid group; and forming a cross-liked structure between the carbonyl group equivalents.
