<p>Provided are a device and a method for automatic label application using a long label strip in which a quantity of unit labels are continuously connected by partly overlapped with each other, and capable of accurately and automatically applying a large number of labels per unit time even if an object to be adhered with the label is made of a material which is slippery relative to an adhesive means. A label strip (8) is temporarily bonded on a first belt (10) which moves intermittently. At the position of a first inversion shaft (16) which inverses the first belt (10), the temporarily bonded labels (1) are removed one by one from the label strip (8). The labels (1) removed from the label strip (8) are sequentially brought into contact with a second belt (22) which moves by rotating, and the labels (1) are temporarily bonded to the second belt (22) at an interval. At the position of a second inversion shaft (28) which inverts the second belt (22), the labels temporarily bonded to the second belt (22) are removed from the second belt. The moving direction of the labels (1) removed from the second belt (22) and the moving direction of the objects to be adhered with are set to the same direction, and the objects (36) are to be adhered with the labels (1).</p> |
