<p>The method involves determining a soot entry of a particulate filter (22) to determine soot loading in the filter during transient operating phase. The soot entry is corrected in stationary operating phase such that deviation of soot entry in transient operating phase is considered. The deviation of soot entry is determined as a function of preset boost pressure setting point and actual value of charging pressure. An independent claim is included for control unit for determining soot loading of particulate filter in internal combustion engine.</p> |
