A BTE hearing aid is disclosed having a hearing aid housing to be worn behind the pinna of a user, and an elongated securing member having a first end connected to the hearing aid housing proximate a sound output of the hearing aid housing and with no user operable parts between its connection to the hearing aid housing and the sound output of the hearing aid housing, and having a second free end, and extending from the first end connected to the hearing aid housing along the hearing aid housing between the pinna and the hearing aid housing in abutment with an outer surface of the auricular sulcus when the hearing aid housing is worn in its intended position behind the pinna of the user for improved retention of the worn hearing aid housing. |
