<p>In order for the breech wedge (8) to be automatically closed after a cartridge (10) has been completely loaded and after the rammer has passed the loading tray (7) of the breech wedge (8), the breech wedge (8) is partially closed by means of at least one retaining device (13), which is arranged on the rear side before the loading tray (7) of the breech wedge (8) on the breech ring (4). A blocking element (16) of the retaining device (13) is extended if the rammer drives into the loading tray (7) to load a cartridge, wherein during the closing motion of the breech wedge (8), the blocking element then blocks the breech wedge in the partially closed position. As soon as the ram has left the loading tray (7) of the breech wedge (8), the sheltering of the breech wedge (8) by the blocking element (16) is automatically lifted and the wedge closing process is ended.</p> |
