PURPOSE: A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify a manufacturing process by coating a reflection barrier layer with a SOG(Spin on glass) material. CONSTITUTION: A reflection barrier layer(120) is formed out of SOG(Spin on glass) on the back side of a substrate. A diffusion pattern(130) includes a plurality of protrusions formed on the front of the substrate A first electrode layer is formed on the substrate including the diffusion pattern. A light absorption layer(150) is arranged on the first electrode layer. A second electrode layer(170) is arranged on the light absorption layer.
