PURPOSE: A rudder for a ship is provided to increase maneuverability of a ship, and to increase propelling force of a propeller while reducing resistance. CONSTITUTION: A rudder for a ship(30) comprises airfoil type blades(31,32). The rudder is installed in a stern part of a ship. The airfoil blades are respectively formed in both sides of the rudder. Nose parts are respectively formed in the airfoil blades toward a stem. A port airfoil type blade is upwardly curved and a starboard airfoil type blade is downwardly curved.
