#CMT# #/CMT# The assembly has an external body (20) made of a plastic matrix composite material (22), in which a joint internal component i.e. ball joint centerpiece, is housed with an interposition of a metal rigid hollow insert. The joint internal component delimits an interior surface collaborating in articulated contact with the internal component. The internal component delimits an exterior surface in shape of a truncated sphere and fixedly connected to the external body in order to form an interface via which stresses is transmitted between an insert and the external body. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a ball joint assembly. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Mechanical joint assembly i.e. ball joint assembly. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The assembly provides groove, which extends lengthwise in direction parallel to the axis, thus improving retention of the insert in rotation about the axis with respect to the external body.
