PURPOSE: A method for performing a telephone call and an IP telephone for the same are provided to transmit and to receive facsimile data in a call. CONSTITUTION: A signal synthesizing unit(14) allocates audio data to a lower frequency band. The signal synthesizing unit allocates facsimile data to a high frequency band. The signal synthesizing unit synthesizes the audio data and the facsimile data. A wideband encoding unit(15) encodes the synthesized signal. The wideband encoding unit outputs a signal of a wideband format. |
