PURPOSE: A method for extracting omega polyunsaturated fatty acids is provided to rapidly extract and purify omega polyunsaturated fatty acids from cochlodinium polykrikoides of red tide. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting omega polyunsaturated fatty acids from cochlodinium polykrikoides of red tide comprises the steps of: (S110) collecting a red tide crude compound; (S120) extracting highly unsaturated fatty acids from the red tide crude compound; (S130) refining the highly unsaturated fatty acids; and (S140) commercializing the refined highly unsaturated fatty acids. The highly unsaturated fatty acids are omega-3 fatty acids. The red tide crude compound is Cochlodinium polykrikoides. |
