PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring the health of a secondary battery is provided to diagnose the health of a secondary battery based on accurately estimated internal resistances and simplify the measuring processes. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(10) stores information on a correlation equation between the internal resistance and health of a secondary battery(1) and electric circuit model information of the secondary battery. A test power supply unit(20) supplies AC power source with successively varying frequency to the secondary battery. An impedance measuring unit(30) measures the impedance of the secondary battery according to frequency. An internal resistance extracting unit(40) models the measured impedance into an electric circuit model of the secondary battery and obtains the internal resistance of the secondary battery. A health estimating unit(50) estimates the health of the secondary battery corresponding to the internal resistance from the correlation equation. |
