PROCESS FOR COMPRESSING ISOMALT

The present invention related to an improved method of producing a compressed product containing isomalt having a volume mean diameter preferably not smaller than 250 µm. The method is based upon agglomeration and the volume mean diameter of the agglomerate is reduced to smaller than 210 µm before compressing the product. Chewable tablets of acceptable hardness are obtained.
