PURPOSE: A three-dimensional display device and a driving method thereof are provided to establish different directions of two switchable panels, thereby securing visibility horizontal and vertical images regardless of a position of a viewer. CONSTITUTION: An image panel(100) outputs two-dimensional images. A first switchable panel(200) includes a plurality of switchable regions in a horizontal direction. A second switchable panel(300) includes the plurality of switchable regions in a vertical direction. A two-dimensional controller(410) controls an on/off state of the image panel. A three-dimensional controller(420) operates the first and second switchable panels.
