摘要 An organic liquid is separated from an alcohol and/or water by submitting the mixture to fractional distillation in the presence of a carboxylic acid amide of the general formula RCONR12 in which R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group, and R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, whereby the purified organic liquid is obtained as distillate and the alcohol and/or water remains behind with the carboxylic acid amide in the distillation residue. Preferably the mixture to be separated is introduced continuously into the lower part of the fractionating column, and the carboxylic acid amide is introduced continuously into the upper part of the column. Examples are given relating to the separation of methylal from methanol and/or water by fractional distillation in the presence of dimethyl-formamide. Dioxane may be separated from propanol by distilling the mixture in the presence of diethyl-acetamide. Diethylamine may be separated from methanol using lactic acid monoethylamide. Examples are also given which relate to the separation of methanol from methyl borate, methyl acetate, and tetrahydrofurane. The separation of ethyl sulphide and allyl alcohol, and of fluorobenzene and isopropyl alcohol, are also exemplified.ALSO:Ethoxy-trimethyl-silane is separated from a mixture of ethoxy-trimethyl silane and ethanol by submitting the mixture to fractional distillation in presence of a carboxylic acid amide such as dimethyl formamide or glycollic acid diethylamide, whereby the purified ethoxy-trimethylsilane is obtained as distillate.ALSO:An organic liquid is separated from an alcohol and/or water by submitting the mixture to fractional distillation in the presence of a carboxylic acid amide of the general formula RCONR12 in which R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group, and R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, whereby the purified organic liquid is obtained as distillate and the alcohol and/or water remains behind with the carboxylic acid amide in the distillation residue. Preferably, the mixture to be separated is introduced continuously into the lower part of the fractionating column, and the carboxylic acid amide is introduced continuously into the upper part of the column. Examples are given relating to the separation of methylal from methanol and/or water by fractional distillation in the presence of dimethyl-formamide. Diethylamine may be separated from methanol by distilling the mixture in the presence of lactic acid monoethylamide. The separation of ethyl sulphide and allyl alcohol, and of fluorobenzene and isopropyl alcohol, also are exemplified.
