PURPOSE: A method for operating a sensor node, a method for operating a data sink in sensor network, and the sensor network are provided to allow the sensor node to implement a sensing process according to a sensing request if a data sink transmits the sensing request to the sensor node. CONSTITUTION: A data sink acquires sensing conditions(S110). The sensing conditions are acquired from external host through interface. The data sink transmits a sensing request to sensor nodes(S120). Target sensor nodes periodically implement sensing processes according to a sensing cycle. A sensing result is transmitted to the data sink(S130). The sensing request includes a sensor node identification(ID) in correspondence to a specific sensor node.
