FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method for synthesis of primary di- and/or triamines from di- and/or trinitriles, which in turn can be obtained from dimer and/or trimer acids. The method involves conversion of nitrile functional groups to primary amine functional groups by hydrogenation in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst and hydrogen. After bringing nitriles and the hydrogenation catalyst into contact at normal temperature, ammonia is added and the reaction medium is stirred before feeding hydrogen; reaction temperature is kept between 110C and 170C and preferably between 130C and 150C; the amount of hydrogenation catalyst used ranges from 0.1 wt % to 15 wt % of the nitrile load; molar ratio of ammonia to nitrile functional groups ranges from 0.2 to 1.3. At least one strong base is added to the reaction medium, said strong base being a strong inorganic base selected from alkali metal or alkali-earth metal hydroxides, preferably in aqueous form, in amount of 0.07-1 mol % in terms of nitrile functional groups. ^ EFFECT: method enables to obtain the end product with high selectivity with respect to primary amines. ^ 8 cl, 17 ex |
