The present disclosure concerns orthopaedic devices 1 comprising a first rod 3 with a ball-shaped first end 4, and a connecting element 2. Said connecting element 2 comprises itself an anchor 22 for securing said connecting element to a vertebra, a socket 5 for receiving said ball-shaped first end 4 of the first rod 3 so as to form a ball-and-socket joint, a first lateral opening 6 suited for introducing said ball-shaped first end 4 of the first rod 3 into said socket 5, and a screw-threaded top opening 9, substantially perpendicular to said first lateral opening 6 and receiving a lock screw 7 for locking, within said socket 5, said ball-shaped first end 4 of the first rod 3. The present disclosure also relates to methods for pre-assembling said lock screw 7 to the connecting element 2, and for subsequently assembling the orthopaedic device 1. |
