Method and device for detecting malfunctions of process water strippers

The method involves measuring pH, temperature and electric conductivity of process water (1) comprising composition of ammonia, organic acids and sulfurated hydrogen, where a value of the temperature is 15 to 50 degree Celsius, and a value of the pH is 7 to 10.3. The ammonia concentration of the process water is estimated based on measured parameters and measurement of the variation of the conductivity of organic acid and ammonia standard solutions according to the temperature and the pH, where a value of the ammonia concentration is 0 to 400 mg/L. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a ammonia concentration determining method (2) a device for measuring ammonia concentration in process water (3) a process water stripping unit comprising a stripping support.
