The invention relates to an energy accumulator arrangement for a motor vehicle, especially an electric vehicle, comprising at least two battery boxes (1, 2) that each receive at least one accumulator battery, and to a method for arranging such an energy accumulator. The two accumulator batteries are electrically interconnected when the battery boxes (1, 2) are mechanically interconnected by a connection part (3), said connection part (3) being arranged above a wheel axle (4) of the motor vehicle.
