A loading and support arrangement is designed as a horseshoe to allow minimal shadow to be cast under all seasons and is arranged to provide loading platforms 106, 107 to a spherical solar concentrator apparatus. The loading platforms may include ancillary platforms 110, 116, 117 which are arranged to provide minimal afternoon cast shadow. Support arrangements 111,112,113 for spherical mirrors 108 together with focusing devices 114, timing devices 115, and a spherical focusing device 101-104, may also be included. Preferably, the apparatus provides a very low carbon sustainable means suitable for funerary cremation using a spherically arranged set of mirrors, where it is shaped as a horseshoe and aligned so that the setting sun casts maximum light into an opposing spherical bowl of mirrors. |
