FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sprinklers, for example, atomizers, particularly, to system and method of monitoring sprinkler operation. Proposed method comprises measuring actual pressure on the mix of first and second fluids formed in sprinkler Then, first pressure at first fluid inlet and second pressure at second fluid inlet are measured. Besides, forecast first and second inlet pressures are calculated using empirical formula to define correctness of sprinkler operation proceeding from the results of comparison of forecast and actual magnitudes. Proposed monitoring system comprises intake channels for, at least, two fluid media, for example, water and air, and mixing chamber for them to be mixed. Mix pressure gage is arranged at sprinkler. Inlet pressure of fluids forced into sprinkler are also measured. Said measured pressures are used to calculate forecast mix pressure proceeding from empirical formula with parameters to be determined after mounting the sprinkler into operating position. Calculated and measured magnitudes are compared to define if sprinkler operates properly. ^ EFFECT: proper operation of sprinkler, possibility to detect whatever faults. ^ 15 cl, 4 dwg |
