Tested person is presented a sequence of two light pulses with duration 50 ms, separated with a 150 ms long pause, repeated through constant time interval 1.5 s. At the first stage of measurements pause duration between two light pulses is reduced with constant rate 20 ms/s until tested person determines the moment of subjective sensation of fusion of two light pulses into one. At the second stage of measurements pause duration between two light pulses is increased with constant rate 5 ms/s until tested person determines the moment of subjective sensation of separation of two light pulses. At the third stage of measurements pause duration between two light pulses is reduced with constant rate 1 ms/s until tested person determines the moment of subjective sensation of fusion of two light pulses into one. Time of human visual system sluggishness is taken equal value of pause duration at the moment of time which is marked on plane in coordinates "time of sluggishness - number of measurement". The described procedure is repeated, graph showing the dependence of values of time of human visual system sluggishness tsl as function tsl=f(Ni)3 is built, where Ni is number of i-th measurement, i = 1, 2, Ç, k, k is number of measurements, before obtaining quasistationary mode, when transitive process is over. In quasistationary mode specified quantity of measurements are performed, after which evaluation of time of human visual system sluggishness is calculated as arithmetic mean value by formula: where tsl j is value of time of human visual system sluggishness in j-th measurement, ms; j=k, k+1, Ç, k+(n-1); k is number of measurement, corresponding to end of transitive process; n is number of measurements of time of human visual system sluggishness in quasistationary mode. ^ EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of determination of time of human visual system sluggishness by statistic processing of its values, obtained in quasistationary mode which makes it possible to increase reliability of assessment of measurement results. ^ 5 dwg, 2 ex
