PURPOSE: A semiconductor device and an operating method thereof are provided to generate a pumping voltage by controlling a charge pumping driving force and a target level of a pumping voltage according to a test signal. CONSTITUTION: A back bias voltage detecting unit(300) detects the level of a back bias voltage based on a variable target level in response to a test signal. An oscillation signal generating unit(320) generates an oscillation signal in response to an output signal of a pumping voltage detecting unit and changes the frequency of the oscillation signal in response to the test signal. A back bias voltage generating unit(340) generates a back bias voltage by a charge pumping operation at a speed corresponding to the frequency of the oscillation signal. |
