The device has a fixing unit (BE) with a fixing component (BM) to apply part of a fibrous strip (FB), having a fiber optic bending sensor, to a body part, and a fixing loop (BS) to guide the strip along an axis of a three-dimensional space. The loop is fixed to the body part. The loop or the component is attached on a flexible fixing carrier (BT) i.e. plaster material. The carrier is fixed with the body part by a sticking material. A sliding material i.e. Teflon(RTM: polytetrafluroethylene) band, is arranged in area of the loop under a side of the strip to slide the strip. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a device for fixing a fibrous strip to a body part.
