PURPOSE: An apparatus and a ship for reducing slamming are provided to reduce a slamming phenomenon and to prevent generation of vibration and noise in a cabin within a hull. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing slamming comprises a winch(310), an absorption plate(320), and a sliding unit(330). The winch is installed in a hull. The absorption plate is wound on the winch. The sliding unit is connected to part of the absorption plate in a state being exposed to the surface of a hull and is slid apart from the winch along the surface of the hull.
