PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and a connection method of image data and audio data are provided to recognize a specific area of image data and connect the recognized specific area with audio data. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(140) displays image data. The image data includes a specific area in a standby state of an image processing apparatus. A processor(170) generates audio data connection information. The audio data connection information is information for connecting audio which is obtained in the recognized specific area. The processor stores the audio connection information in a memory.
