The hand-held work device comprises an equipment housing (9), in which an electrical driving motor (8) and a drive (10) for a work tool are received. A battery pack (15) is provided, which is connected with the equipment housing. A handle (4,6) is provided for handling a drive unit. The battery pack is completely received in a receiving pit (16) of the equipment housing.
